Pheasant Run Resort and Spa in St. Charles, Illinois is conveniently located in the beautiful Fox River Valley, just an hour from Chicago. The resort is easily accessible from both Chicago O'Hare International and Midway Airports and is located next to Dupage Airport.

From O'Hare International Airport

Take I-90 West to Route 59 South. Exit south on Route 59 and continue to North Avenue (Route 64). Turn right (west) on North Avenue. The Resort is located 3 miles west of Route 59 on North Avenue (Route 64) on the south side of the street.

From Chicago

Take I-290 West to I-88 West. Continue west on I-88 to Farnsworth (Kirk) North. Exit north on Farnsworth (Kirk) and continue to North Avenue (Route 64). Turn right (east) on North Avenue and continue approximately 1 mile. The Resort is located on the south side of the street.

From Chicago Midway

Take Cicero Avenue North to I-55 South. Get on I-55 South and continue to I-355 North. Exit onto I-355 North and continue to I-88 West. Exit onto I-88 West and continue to Farnsworth (Kirk) North. Exit north on Farnsworth (Kirk) and continue to North Avenue (Route 64). Turn right (east) on North Avenue and continue approximately 1 mile. The Resort is located on the south side of the street.

From the South

Take I-294 North to I-88 West. Exit I-88 West at Farnsworth (Kirk Rd.) North and continue to North Avenue (Route 64). Turn right (east) on North Avenue and continue approximately 1 mile. The Resort is located on the south side of the street. or Take I-55 North to I-355 North to I-88 West. Exit I-88 West at Farnsworth (Kirk Rd.) North and continue to North Avenue (Route 64). From DuPage Airport

Take a right onto Kautz Road. Go north 1 mile. The Resort entrance is located on the east side of the street (right side), just south of North Ave (Route 64).

    Join us for a dynamic opening performance, Unicorns and Dragons: Irish Ballads and Stories and English Songs with Renaissance Lute, featuring Chicago’s very own Bard Dan Marcotte and Master Storyteller Judith Heineman.

    Workshops:

    In an effort to facilitate parents getting children to and from workshops, we are trying something new this year. Adult workshops start 5 minutes after the children’s workshops and end 5 minutes earlier.

    Children’s Craft and Flea Market Friday, 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.

    For Kids Only: Come trade and/or sell your stuff at our children’s craft and flea market! Please note the time/day change for this event. Set up will begin at 11:45. We will be assigning spaces for each family. Participants must register in advance for this event.

    Bonfire Friday, 7:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.

    Join us outside on the patio for a new family activity! Visit with friends & keep warm by the bonfire! S'more making kits will be available from Pheasant Run for $5 per kit.

    Anime Film Festival Friday, 8:00 p.m. - Midnight

    Can’t get enough Anime? You will be delighted by the variety that will be shown. We will view G-rated videos in English from 8 – 10 pm, and watch PG-rated videos from 10 pm – midnight, in either English or Japanese with English subtitles.

    Family Dance Friday, 8:15 p.m. – 9:45 p.m.

    Once again our DJ will be playing music for the whole family, including all the favorites. So put on your dancing shoes and join in the fun! Teen Dance Friday, 10:00 p.m. - Midnight Two hours of music and dancing just for teens.

    Imaginarium Fair Saturday, 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.

    Got a cool collection? Have the neatest science display ever? Come show off your interests, studies, collections and such at this year’s “Imaginarium” fair! The fair is open to individuals wishing to display a project from any area of interest, whether it’s a study subject or just a hobby. Come show off your artwork, history displays, K’nex and Lego creations, kitchen science, or whatever you’ve been studying or playing with this year! All ages are welcome to participate, and will receive a ribbon and/or certificate of merit for their display.

    Talent Show Saturday, 4:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

    The talent show is open to conference attendees of all ages. Performances by both individuals and groups are welcome! In order to showcase as many acts as possible, performances will be limited to 3 minutes.

    To register, please fill out a Talent Show form at the conference registration table before 12:00 noon on Saturday. You may also register or receive information by contacting talentshow@homeeducatorsconference.org.
